About Stir It Up Cooking School & Our Staff

A NOTE FROM CAROL WIGGINS

Welcome to Stir It Up Cooking School! I come from a family of eleven. My passion for cooking began with the fun we had in our crazy bustling kitchen. I love the warmth and companionship of cooking with others. I wanted to share this experience with everyone.

When my sons were 6 and 2, I began teaching gingerbread classes where my goals were for family and friends to get together, have fun, and discover their creative talents.

With Stir It Up Cooking School, I would like to continue in this spirit. My school provides small hands-on classes in a warm, friendly atmosphere. We will cook, laugh, learn and eat.

OUR CHEFS AND ASSISTANTS
Chef Masako Masako (Mako) Aizawa
Born in Japan, Mako graduated from Tokyo Shinjyuku Culinary School. She worked as an assistant for the "Martha Stewart" of Japan and as the personal chef for the Japanese Women's Olympic Marathon Runners. One of her runners won the GOLD MEDAL! Chef Toi Toi McDaniel

Chef Margaret Margaret Wilson
While working on a catering team and at local restaurants in Augusta, Georgia, Margaret completed her culinary training at Augusta Technical Institute. She also received a degree in Human Nutrition at Winthrop University and is a registered Dietitian. Her personal goal is to help people understand the relationship between diet and lifestyle and the impact on their sense of well being. Her most interesting memory of culinary school was carving a 200+ pound block of ice into a sea shell, with a chain saw and picks!
